As we kickstart semester 2, the Careers Service are hosting a range of events to help improve your employability, networking, soft skills and more. Check out some key events this term from workshops, to recruitment fairs - there’s something for everyone!

January 31: START UP Networking Social

Join the next START UP networking event taking place from 17:00 - 19:00, 31 January. This month’s social shines a light on social enterprises with 3 guest speakers. Connect with like-minded entrepreneurial individuals and hear from a panel of inspiring guest speakers. It is the perfect time to share ideas and spark conversation. Wash that down with pizza and drinks, why not give it a go? Check out our highlights from the last event here.

February 28 - 29: Creative Careers 2024 

Considering a career in the creative sector? If so, check out our Creative Careers sessions taking place 28 – 29 February. We’ll be running a series of insightful events, talks and workshops led by inspiring industry professionals. Come and grow your industry contacts, explore new ideas and get inspired to be a professional creative! There are limited spaces available for each session, so make sure you book your place in advance.

March 7: Spring Graduate Recruitment Fair

Get ready for the first careers fair of 2024! Join over 20 employers on campus at the spring graduate recruitment fair. This is your chance to connect with potential employers from a wide range of sectors and learn about their graduate positions and programmes starting in summer and autumn 2024. The event will take place 11:00 - 14:00, on March 7.

March 21: Science Careers Outside the Lab

Studying a science-based degree? Then check out our Science Careers Outside the Lab event. Designed for students eager to explore career paths in science beyond traditional laboratory settings. Engage with professionals from science education, healthcare, environmental sustainability and more to discover the variety of opportunities available. The event will take place 16:00 - 18:00 on March 21
