1. World TV & Film (IPTV) Resources π¬
Do you want to improve your language ability but donβt have any native speakers around you? World TV & Film (IPTV) resources allow you to travel the world and experience other cultures without leaving the comfort of your own home!
You can choose from 10,000+ items in over 100 languages, including:

If you want to put your knowledge into practice, the LRC offers online language learning platforms such as:
- Transparent Language
The Transparent Language programme covers many languages and dialects and, most importantly, is completely flexible and helps develop all four basic skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

An amazing pronunciation practice software where you can listen to model pronunciation, record your voice and get automated feedback.
- Clarity English - software suite
With a software suite managed by the Language Resource Centre Canvas community, you can improve your English, prepare for IELTS exams and strengthen your academic writing skills.
3. Tandem Board ποΈ
If you want to learn to speak a language fluently, there's no better way than to speak with a native speaker regularly!
The Tandem Board will help you find language exchange partners, either at partner universities abroad or in person.
Free Language Courses
To use our LRC you donβt have to be studying languages as a degree! The LRC is free for all and provides a space to share language and collaborate with others.
If you are passionate about learning languages in your spare time, you can enrol in the University Wide Language Programme (UWLP) and take free language courses alongside your current studies!
