As we step into 2026, our Student Content Creators share their goals, intentions and ambitions for the year ahead.
Bill:

2025 was one of the most eventful years of my life and it’s given me a lot to think about this year. I attended a lot of concerts and gigs last year and that’s definitely something I want to carry on (if my bank account allows it)!
I’d also like to keep pursuing my passions and interests - I’ve loved learning guitar so it’d be great to join a band this year, and I’d love to write and perform more stand-up comedy as well!
Lastly, I’m going to try and work on myself - live in the moment and enjoy life!
Callum:

I want to take 2026 as a year to build on everything that I did in 2025, continuing to say yes to every opportunity. As I turn 21, I aim to continue adding to my never-ending camera roll by travelling to places I’ve never been before and going on random side quests with my friends. Arguably my biggest goal is to obtain a placement year in media and hopefully get a chance at the London life.
For everything in 2026, I want to put myself at the forefront, challenging myself by doing things such as starting my own personal TikTok account.
Yet also importantly, giving myself more opportunities to rest and find a better balance so that throughout my busy life, I can take more moments to step back and pursue activities such as going on walks or reading. Every day in 2026, I aim to affirm that it will be abundant in all things good!
Erin:

My 2026 rebrand starts now.
I’m going to try and stay motivated, even when things seem a little overwhelming. I’m in second year now so it’s getting a bit serious, my vision board acts as a reminder that if I stay positive, I will get there!
I’m going to try to enter my academic comeback era and actually set aside some time for study instead of cramming in all my revision last minute.
I’d also love to go travelling this year, with Barcelona being top of my list to visit. I’ve had a lovely start to 2026 so far, and I hope to become the best version of myself this year.
Gurleen:

In 2026, I want to live more intentionally and align my actions with the life I truly want. I want to prioritise my health in all forms by taking care of my body, protecting my mental peace, and nurturing my spiritual growth.
I want to stay disciplined and focused, especially in my academic and personal goals, while reminding myself that rest and balance are just as important as productivity.
Moreover, I want to be more present, reduce unnecessary screen time, and appreciate the small, quiet moments. I want to travel, explore, and gain new perspectives, and most importantly, build meaningful friendships while practising self-love and gratitude every day.
Mia:

My 2026 New Year's Resolutions:
For 2026, there are some resolutions that I want to achieve, this year is a big year for me as I will be graduating in July.
My first resolution is to work hard in my studies and towards my dissertation so I can feel proud of myself on graduation day. I am also trying to build new routines in my daily life, as a university student and especially after the winter break it can be easy to lose routine, but I know routine works best for me.
As part of this I am trying to include a daily walk as it is good to get out in the fresh air and also helps clear your mind. This year I want to give myself more ‘me time’, time where I can do things I enjoy or just allow myself to relax after a busy day.
As this is my final few months at university, I want to make as many memories as possible with all the friends I have made in Newcastle, that I can look back on and cherish. Lastly, by the end of 2026 I hope to have travelled more and visit lots of new places!
Yumeka:

Commit:
I started studying in the UK last September. In 2026, I want to truly commit to this new environment — joining clubs, making friends, and experiencing new cultures, until this place no longer feels foreign, but familiar.
Explore:
In 2026, I want to travel to at least five European countries. Spain, Portugal, and Northern Europe especially attract me. I’m planning to explore Southern Europe in spring, and head north in winter to experience completely different landscapes and cultures.
Deliver Results:
I am building my social media presence through video content creation. In 2026, I want this to be more than just a hobby — I aim to upload consistently, create genuinely helpful content, and treat it as a long-term project. My goal is to reach 10,000 followers within the next 12 months.
