You may even have some assignment deadlines approaching. So now is the time to reflect on your academic skills and identify any areas where you might need some development or additional help.
Why not start this process of reflection with the Library’s information skills audit for undergraduate or postgraduate students, or visit the Academic Skills Kit to explore skills topics?
This year, the Writing Development Centre, Liaison Librarians, Special Collections Team and the Academic Skills Team have joined forces to bring you a central programme of academic and study skills sessions. In addition to sessions and resources offered by individual teams, this central programme is co-taught by staff members to give you a holistic and wide-ranging series of workshops and resources.
Throughout Semester 1 we are covering everything from planning to feedback, searching for information to referencing, including sessions on specialist information sources, giving presentations, making your voice heard in seminars, writing and editing literature reviews and exam technique.
This Semester, the sessions are running online via Zoom and you can book your place in advance.
The Your Skills programme is open to students from all Faculties, and all of our campuses. So join us for any session that will help you to develop the skills you need right now in your student journey.
