Here at Newcastle University, we are dedicated to public engagement.
The research and teaching we do here not only benefit us, but also the wider community and our partners. We conduct wide-ranging research and engagement activities, collaborating with businesses, voluntary groups and the creative sector.
To help us acknowledge and celebrate the work we do, we’ve applied for an Engage Watermark from the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE). This is an award that considers how public engagement is support here at Newcastle University.
How can I get involved?
A key part of the assessment for the award is a student survey, where you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts about public engagement, including if and how you engage with different publics and the support you receive for this.
We’re keen for you to complete the survey and share your honest views of public engagement at Newcastle.
The NCCPE will analyse the results and share with us an anonymised report, highlighting key findings including areas for improvement. We will use these findings to inform our future approach to supporting public engagement at Newcastle University. We hope that you’ll share your views, and look forward to acting on the results.
The survey is optional and will take 5-10 minutes to complete. The survey will close on Friday 11th June.
