Thank you for helping us support charities

In the 2020/21 academic year, you helped us raise £4,622 for charity by completing surveys.

During the 2020/21 academic year, there were three major surveys we asked our students to complete; the National Student Survey, the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey, and the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey. We decided to donate £2 to charity for every survey that was completed by our students within the first three weeks.

We’re so proud to have supported three wonderful charities, chosen in agreement with representatives from NUSU, and we’d like to thank our students for their support. Through completing surveys, you’ve helped us support three amazing charities:

• Student Minds, who support student mental health. You can see how the charity has used donations during the 2021-22 academic year here.
• Mermaids, an LGBTQ+ charity, who support transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse young people. You can find examples of how Mermaids and our donation helped to support young people here. 
• The Angelou Centre, which provides specialist support for black and minoritised women locally. You can see information on how the charity supports women here.
