This month in Newcastle, dive into the excitement withFabulous: Queer Icons of the North East  with Richard Bliss on February 6, where you’ll discover the legendary queer figures who’ve shaped the region’s culture and history.

For a night full of creativity and community, don’t miss theTyne Queer Open Mic on February 8th, where local performers take the stage to share their voices through music, poetry, and stories in a fun, inclusive space! It’s a month to learn, celebrate, and have a blast! 

 

Silent Disco - 22 February

Who doesn’t love a party? But have you ever experienced a Silent Disco? Get ready for something totally unique at Newcastle Cathedral on February 22, 2025!

Awesome Silent Disco is bringing the party to this stunning venue with a series of electrifying sessions. Kick off the fun with a Family Silent Disco Party from 12:30 to 15:00, filled with 90s and 2000s hits, modern jams, and kids' party classics. Then, let loose at the adult sessions, from 18:30 to 21:00 PM for the Session 1 and Session 2 from 21:30 PM to midnight. Featuring three DJs, amazing lighting, face painters, and a bar, it’s sure to be a night to remember!  

 

National Stottie Cake Week - 24 February - 1 March

Taking place from February 24 to March 1, 2025, let’s celebrates the second National Stottie Cake Week, a traditional Geordie bread.

The week features a variety of fun, stottie-themed activities, including baking sessions, poetry, and creative writing, along with opportunities to purchase Scotty the Stottie merchandise. It’s a time to embrace Newcastle’s food culture and community spirit!
