Newcastle Varsity 2025 - 26 February - 26 March 

Get ready for an unforgettable rivalry as Newcastle Varsity 2025 kicks off the ultimate clash between Newcastle University and Northumbria University!

The action starts on February 26 with an intense Men’s Rugby Union clash, followed by a high-energy Men’s Basketball game on March 3. Then, on March 10, the competition heats up with Women’s Volleyball at Sport Central. The real excitement builds toward the grand finale on Big Friday Varsity on March 14, where teams will go all out for glory. And don’t miss the Varsity Takeover on March 26! Sports grounds, courts, pitches, and pools all around the city will be packed with energy. No tickets needed, just bring your excitement and get ready to cheer on Team Newcastle as they go for their fourth BIG WIN!

Whether you’re playing, cheering, or just soaking in the vibe, this is one event you definitely don’t want to miss!

International Women's Day - 8 March 

March is also the perfect time to celebrate the incredible women around us, and Newcastle has some great events to join in!

You can start to celebrate it with the Assist Just Networking Event in Redcar and Cleveland on 18 March, or head to the Sip, Support & Empower Afternoon Tea & Networking Event on 25 March. Both are perfect for connecting with inspiring women and building meaningful relationships.

Later on, you can get inspired by Women Empowering Communities on 12 March, where amazing speakers will share their stories of leadership and making a difference. It’s all about connecting, supporting, and make a real impact.

Newcastle Cocktail Week - 21 - 30 March

Who’s ready for Newcastle’s biggest cocktail event?
