At Newcastle University we want to ensure all students get the opportunity to feed back on their experience. Whether it is through student representatives, informal check-ins at module level, or student surveys: we listen to your feedback, make changes where possible, and keep you updated.
Throughout your time with us, you will regularly be asked to engage by providing direct feedback.
At the end of October we got in touch to say that lecturers would be checking in with you to get feedback on how you are getting on with your modules. This way, lecturers were able to hear what you think, and make changes where appropriate.
In the new year, Stage Evaluations will be run. You will receive an email invitation to provide feedback on your programme so far.
Both informal check-ins and Stage Evaluations will also run in the second semester.
New this year was the Student Pulse Survey, a short survey to hear your thoughts about your overall experience so far. Results have been shared with Schools and Faculties, and if you indicated you wanted help from a University Service, the details you provided were passed on.
In semester 2, there will be additional opportunities to feed back about your overall student experience. Depending on your level of study, you’ll be asked to feed back through one of these specific surveys:
This year, postgraduate research students will also be invited to take part in an additional survey between May - June 2021 to share their views on how engagement is supported and valued at Newcastle University.
