Find Your Future - NCL Careers
If you're thinking about gaining experience to add to your CV or ready to explore graduate opportunities, join our series of over 100 live events as part of our Careers Services' Find Your Future week. From Monday 2nd November, take part in live virtual sessions with professional and established employers such as Aldi UK, Network Rail, L'Oreal and the Royal Air Force, to name few. From networking opportunities to skills webinars and "day in the life" exclusives, come along to explore your options, no matter what stage you're at in your career.
Our Careers Service also hosts frequent events beyond Find Your Future Week 2020. Drop in to START UP's virtual webinars if you're interested in entrepreneurship, tune into skills sessions with our Careers Advisors or take a look at upcoming employer presentations and recruitment sessions.
Insights Virtual Lectures - NCL Insights
A firm favourite in any events calendar, Insights Virtual Lectures are back with another thought-provoking line-up for November. Every Tuesday and Thursday, watch, listen and learn with expert leaders from a wide variety of fields and backgrounds. Discussing contemporary issues like politics within the Coronavirus pandemic and historical reflections such as tracing the UK’s immigration debate. Tune in via YouTube and get your questions answered, with many lectures followed by an exclusive live Q&A with the speaker.
Virtual Tours of our City & Beyond - NUSU GIAG
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, exploring our beautiful city and campus is somewhat trickier this year. However, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the wonderful sights the Toon has to offer! Throughout November, Give It A Go within our Students' Union is running virtual tours of every corner of our city to ensure that all students can experience Newcastle, even if they're self-isolating. From Ouseburn, the Quayside, Jesmond Dene and the wonderful Grainger Market, tune in to exclusively guided tours from the safety of your own home.
Enrichment Week - Newcastle University
This November, we’re encouraging you to pause, reflect and explore with our Enrichment Week. From the 16th-20th, be inspired by Newcastle University's life-changing research, be ready to explore with our NU Centres of Research Excellence and invest time in yourself with exciting opportunities designed just for you. Delve into presentations and discussions with researchers from our Cancer, Energy, Healthier Lives and Heritage Centres and join in with events from our Students' Union, Language Resource Centre, Careers Service, Wellbeing and much more.

Society Events - NUSU
The new academic term is in full swing and so are our fantastic student societies. Whether it's playing virtual bingo with FemSoc, debating and discussing with the TEDx Society or celebrating Diwali with Hindu and Sikh Society, November is bursting with society-based events to keep you entertained throughout the entire month.

Virtual Christmas Window Reveal - Fenwick Newcastle
Ready to ignite this year's festive cheer? November brings one of the most highly anticipated events of Newcastle's festive calendar, the unveiling of Fenwick's Christmas window. In a never seen before live-stream, escape the northern weather and instead grab your cosiest pyjamas, indulge in some festive treats and celebrate the start of the festivities from the very best seat in the house – your own! From 6:45pm on Sunday 8th November, discover Fenwick's latest creation and learn more about the creative process from their talented window team.

Virtual Bonfire Night - NUSU
Remember remember the 5th of November... Undeniably, this Bonfire Night will be one like no other and whilst we can't spend it huddled around a blazing bonfire or dazzling firework display sipping hot chocolate, there's still fun to be had virtually. For one night only, join our Students' Union for a Bonfire Night special, with a virtual social and toffee apple making. At noon on the 5th, students can collect their apple making kit from the Stretch Tent in front of Northern Stage. At 6pm, tune in for a virtual social and enjoy eating your hand-made, delicious toffee apples whilst chatting and celebrating Bonfire Night.

Virtual Go Abroad Fair 2020
Whilst studying or travelling abroad has been an obstacle for many of us this year, this doesn't mean that we can't think about studying abroad in the future. Join our Virtual Go Abroad Fair on 4th November to live chat with specialist staff members from across the University and discover what exchanges, international work placements, summer schools, and virtual opportunities are available to you.
The event will be hosted virtually on Microsoft Teams and is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Plus, if you ever get stuck or have any questions, our Global Ambassadors will be on hand all day to help, guide and inspire.

commUNITY Life - ResLife
As we spend more time at home, it's more important than ever to remain connected to your University community, and commUNITY Life is back this month to ensure you don't miss out. If you're a new student not living in university accommodation but elsewhere around Newcastle, commUNITY life can help keep you entertained and engaged with their inclusive activities and support schedule. Alongside socials like quizzes, movie nights and cultural events, commUNITY Life Student Assistants (SA's) also provide a valuable peer support network, running daily drop-in sessions, life-skills/hacks workshops and signposting students to the extensive support services offered by the University. If you're looking for some advice, some fun or just fancy a chat, commUNITY is the perfect opportunity.

Wellbeing Workshops - NCL Wellbeing
Throughout the academic year, our University Counselling Team offer a variety of helpful workshops, designed to help maintain or improve your wellbeing whilst studying and living in Newcastle. From building confidence in social situations to support with sleep, food and mood, the sessions aim to help you identify issues, explore the various means of coping and develop new skills to enhance your own mental and physical wellbeing.

Give It A Go Events - NUSU
It's a brand new month so why not try something completely new? Give It A Go (GIAG) in our Students' Union is back for November with a whole host of virtual events and activities. From creative sessions like tea light decorating to live music and film nights, GIAG provides the perfect opportunity for you to escape your comfort zone and have tons of fun whilst doing it.
